Albert Park's impressive landscape is dominated by mature exotic trees, and boasts some of the finest Elms in the state of Victoria. Recent extensions to the course have resulted in the planting of some 1600 additional trees of varying species.
Local residents began playing golf and developing the initial course in 1899, and 1999 marked the centenary of what is now the Albert Park Golf Course.
The Albert Park Driving Range is Melbourne’s Premier golf practice facility that caters for all levels of golfer – from a complete beginner to a scratch marker – or simply a bunch of mates wanting to have a bit of fun.
The Albert Park Driving Range have a fully stocked pro-shop with all the latest gear and clothes, as well as hire clubs if you haven’t got any of your own. If you’re looking to buy some clubs a driving range is the best possible place – you can have a test run out on the range before-hand and actually see where the ball goes – not hit it into a net in a golf shop on a main road!
The Albert Park Driving Range is over 250 metres long and has over 60 individual driving bays. It doesn’t matter either if it’s raining – 45 of the bays are completely undercover. The separate “short game” practice area is one of the best in the country comprising of two massive individual putting and chipping greens. The Albert Park Driving Range is also fully licensed, so you can have a relaxing beer out on our newly built deck or while you practice. Looking for a lesson?
We have some of the best fully qualified PGA teaching professionals in the country available seven days a week, as well as beginner clinics and school and holiday programs. And if that’s not enough they are fully floodlit and open late every night of the week.
